So the holidays are here and I already have stress!
Billy hijacks my computer every day so it makes it a little difficult to get much done. On top of that, he is “irregular” due to the change in routine, which means constant requesting (no downtime) and not sleeping. I feel frustrated and then feel guilty the next day, it’s a tough time.
I knew it was going to happen, so I prepared myself for it.
I found some pretty cool stuff so I thought I would share with you. You can see my list of Gifts for Children With Special Needs here. Hopefully, that will help you if you have any bits and pieces to buy.
If you are like me and already stressing on day two, you will need to take care of yourself throughout these holidays to stay sane. I have seen lots of advice saying “take regular breaks” and many times I have rolled my eyes, thinking to myself “yeah okay but how?”
I built my own strategy to take regular breaks and practice this whenever the kids are home with me. You can access my proven strategy How To Take Regular Breaks. As much as I love the sleep-ins for six weeks, I still want to speak to whoever it was that decided the holidays would be six weeks. It is testing to say the least.
It was these testing times that also helped me see that my children are only little for a short time and when you really think about it, the good times outweigh the bad.
With that said, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Safe New Year. I wish you much happiness and success in 2015.
